Two Working groups are installed within the CRC1316 to intensify the cooperation in the distinct research fields of experiments and simulations.     MGK Colloquium

    The MGK colloquium is a workshop for young low temperature plasma physicists. Its aim is to provide a platform for doctoral and young post doctoral researchers to present results and exchange knowledge. The scientific program will consist of oral presentations of 15 (regular talk) or 20 (topical talk, selected by the scientific committee) minutes length and two poster sessions.

    Streamer mechanism is one of the main ionisation mechanisms in highpressure plasma jets, pulsing coronas or barrier discharges. In atmospheric air, it is an ultra-fast process which produces a light emission or current pulses with duration of only several units of nanoseconds. In such challenging case, an enhanced diagnostic method has to be applied.

Working groups

First working group meeting reaction routes in plasma catalysis and surface interactions

Working groups reaction routes in plasma catalysis and surface interaction had their first virtual meeting on September 13th, 2019. The meeting was attended by participants from Bochum, Berlin and Ulm.

Here, working group members of both groups decided to merge the groups. Moreover, possible cooperations between the different researchers were discussed.
